Noreen Ocampo is a Filipino American writer and poet from metro Atlanta. She is the author of two chapbooks, including There Are No Filipinos in Mississippi, published by Porkbelly Press in 2025, and Not Flowers, which won the 2021 Variant Lit Microchap Contest. Her poetry has received support from Tin House / the McCormack Writing Center, the Longleaf Writers Conference, Monson Arts, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, and a Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters Award. An editor for Sampaguita Press, Noreen is at work on a full-length poetry collection, which was named a finalist for the Deep Line Poetry Series and the Lexi Rudnitsky First Book Prize. She holds a BA in English from Emory University and earned her MFA from the University of Mississippi. She currently lives in Oxford, Mississippi. Her family comes from Pangasinan, Philippines.
